Born in a music loving family, Anupama was initiated into vocal music by her father late Shri Ramkant kaikini. Advanced training in classical vocal music followed under the able tutelage of noted masters viz. Pandit Phiroze Dastoor & late Ustad Faiyaz Ahmed, both of Kirana Charana. Later on, Anupama had her training in singing light classical & devotional songs under late Shri Bhanukant Luktuke & Shri Durgesh Chandavarkar. Young Anupama started her singing career on stage under the various famous banners. Having gained a good reputation on stage, she then ventured into films where she sang a Solo number for the films under the baton of composers, Rajesh Roshan, Bappi Lahiri, Laxmikant-Pyarelal, Anand-Milind, Sajid-Wajid, Dilip Sen-Samir, Anu Malik etc. She has also sung many remixes for Times Music such as “Chalte Chalte Mujhe Koi Mil Gaya Tha”, “Mankyon
