Aurobinda Bhattacharjee received early Tabla training from Shri Sudhamoy Mondol later on Shri Ashok Moitra (disciple of Pt. Swapon Chowdhury) in Durgapur. He took further talim from Pt. Manas Dasgupta (Visva Bharati) for five years and learned many compositions of Benaras Gharana from Shri Nirmal Ganguly of Tala Park, Kolkata. Finally He become the disciple of the Legendary Tabla Maestro Pandit  SHANKAR GHOSH and has been continuing with him for the last ten years. 

Aurobinda accompanied with several eminent artists and he was highly appreciated by Pandit A.Kanan, Prof.Sugata Marjit, Pandit Srikant Bakre, Smt.Subhra Guha, Smt.Shreela Banerjee, Shri Tushar Dutta, Pandit Kumar Prasad Mukherjee, Bidushi Dalia Rahut, Pandit Mahesh Prasad Mishra, Sri Ragesh Mishra, Sri Geetesh Mishra, Smt.Mitali Banerjee Bhowmik, Sri Koushik Bhattacharya , Sri Sougata Ganguly and others in many conferences.

Aurobinda is also solo performer and performed his skill in different prestigious stages in India. He performed in Akashbani Utsab organized by Rabindra Bharati university. He gave his performance in many other prestigious venue like: Rabindra Sadan, Birla Academy of Art and Culture, Shishir Manch, Gyan Manch, Vivekananda Hall, Jadavpore University, Calcutta University Centinery Hall, Sandre Hall of Calcutta School of Music, G.D. Birla Sabhagar and others in many prestigious concerts.
