INFERNO is a ROCK Band from Kolkata doing music in its own way and own genre. We are not confined to any fixed genre; we create our music as it comes to our mind with full respect to the lyrics, feel and sentiment about the songs. Our songs have mixed elements from various genres like Psychedelic, Ballads, Glam Rock, Alternative with some Metal influences. We would also like to work with eastern folk music in future. 
Inferno was started somewhere in 2005 with a dream and hope of becoming the top most Bangla Rock band in Kolkata. In 2005 we won the 1st position in the band competition held in Techno India fest Anakhronos. After this achievement Inferno performed in various college fests like FIEM, RCC Engineering College, main campus as well as salt lake campus of Jadavpur University, BPPIMT. In the year 2008 for some unavoidable reasons the journey was stopped mid way. 
Inferno again has started the journey from the point it had stopped….with some new warriors…with good and bad memories of the past. Man and his surrounding social life has built the basic ingredients of our sound…we cry in their pain…we smile in their joy…and above all we hope for a new world with a new sunrise….
