Sweta Ravisankar is a Bharatanatyam and Nattuvangam artiste. She has grown under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Padmini Radhakrishnan of Mumbai, India in Bharatanatyam since 1993. Later she pursued her passion with Guru Smt. Roja Kannan in Chennai, India. Sweta is following her passion by exploring more into choreography, teaching Bharatanatyam and Nattuvangam and giving performances as a solo artist, Nattuvangam artiste and a freelance dancer with prestigious companies in the US. She has over 80 solo performances to her credit. 

Sweta holds a master’s degree in Fine Arts - MFA - in Bharatanatyam. She has given many acclaimed solo and group performances in India and US and also supported artistes on Nattuvangam. 

Apart from her pursuit in dance, she is currently pursuing her PhD. in Cell and Developmental Biology at Oregon Health and Science University, Portland, Oregon.
