Meena Naik is a world renowned puppeteer and children’s theatre director in addition to being a very successful theatre, film and T.V. actress and costume designer. She has received training in theatre and puppetry in India and abroad and has been a national scholar of the Government of India, a Japan Foundation fellow and a senior fellow of the Department of Culture, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. She is a very active social worker and has worked in the fields of language development, primary education for handicapped and slow learners, sex workers, preventive medicine and child rights. She has represented India in France, Czech Republic, Japan, UK, Sri Lanka and Canada and has presented research papers in national and international seminars and conferences.
