Qafilaa' is an ensemble of assorted rhapsodies, rendering progressive experimental music from around the globe. We believe that genres have no limitations, and offer you mystical elements of Indian & Western Classical, soft feel of Folk music, earthy taste of Jazz & Blues, and the stirring rhythm of Rock & Metal - all rolled in one. We like to dabble in unconventional playing techniques, instrument tuning and unusual harmonies with diverse lyrical patterns and composition styles. Our intention is to take you through a collection & combination of musical notes, pitch & rhythm patterns, which touch you’re physical, emotional, mental, social, aesthetic, & spiritual aspects. At Qafilaa, the band members use music experiences (e.g., free improvisation, singing, song writing, listening to and discussing music, moving to music) to achieve musical satisfaction. Qafilaa is very conscious between the definition of music and noise.
