It started when Niel & Mainak already set with the name of the band met and offered Partho & Bubun, two of the longest staying members of the famous bangla band FOSSILS to play with them to which they readily agreed as Bubun always wanted to work with Niel post Fossils.
Niel better known as "RJ Niel" for his Morning Radio Shows which lastly aired on the frequency "OYE 104.8 fm" was always a musician. Started a school band called "SIXthVEDA" in 2004 which became quite popular in the National Hindi Circuit by 2006. but in March 2011 he had to quit the band for some unfortunate series of personal events. He had been trying to sound experiment and freelance with quite a few projects & bands like Ragaaz, Recycle Bin India then suddenly "Moinak" ex guitar player for Khonj & SILAJIT.COM and also who had once been a part of SIXthVEDA as a featured Guitar Player and who had already joined Bubun & Shubho in a project called Niel to include this line up in their planned project SINGLE UNITS..
