Sohail Hasan Mallik is a very promising and talented Singer of this arena. He was born in the year of 1994 (28th july, 21years old). He has learnt music from a number of renound music Teachers. Sohail has learnt Classical Music from Partha Sarathi Desikan and Subhadeep Mukherjee in his boyhood. Later, he took Talim from Ustaad Waseem Ahmed Khan. Along with this, he is learning Western Music since last 10 years from Prabir Karmakar, Gautam Guha etc. He has learnt Light Music as well as Classical Music. Chandan Roy Chowdhury, the very famous music director of Kolkata, gave him the first break in the TV serial "DURGESHNANDINI" (ETV Bangla, 2014) which was directed by Tarun Mazumder. After that, he has sung for the TV serial "MAHAPROVU" (Ruposhi Bangla, 2015). Now a days, he is in touch with the Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa voice Groomer Nirmalya Roy and learning voice grooming along with the Classical Music. Sohail is a devoted Pianist also. He often plays Guitar and various rhythm instruments. He has learnt Piano and Guitar from the Maestro Choton Banerjee. Recently, he is composing music. He loves programming music. Sohail is a big fond of Studio Techs and Tricks. He has a little recording studio where he creates his passion. He recorded his first track in his father's music album (Phire Paoa Swarna Yug) in the year of 2008. His father Masud Hosen Mallik is also a fine vocalist of this present age. Late Ghulam Mustafa, a renound Folk Singer as well as an Actor of Bangladesh Film Industry was one of his grand father. Bangladeshi Rabindra Sangeet specialist famous TV artist Mushfiqur Rahman is his GrandPa. Sohail is a versatile Singer. He can perform on different types of musical Genre such as Ghazals, Light Music, Semi-classicals, Sufi, Indo-pop, Folk etc. He is capable of singing in almost every types of Indian musical Genre from 1950s to present. Presently he is struggling for playback. He has a capability to sing a brand new song in a very short time span. Also he can make instant notations then n' there after listening any tune. He has successfully performed in many concerts with great appreciation of audience. Recently, he has recorded few songs for some short films which will be released soon. This year, his composition has secured the 1st position in "ASIAN PAINTS SHARAD SHAMMAN" as the best Durga Puja Theme Song of Kolkata (2015). Sohail is also working on some new projects which are Programmed, Arranged, Mixed and Mastered by himself.
