The Iyer Project
The term "Iyer" is a title used among the Tamil Brahmin community. As the name suggests, the founding members of this band Ashvin, Ananth and Chandramouli belong to Tamil Brahmin families with rich musical backgrounds. But that has little to do with the band.
The basic ideology behind the formation of this band is to create an eclectic blend of various musical genres with Indian Carnatic music which is considered to be one of the oldest forms of music in world history. Their compositions try to convey emotions of World Harmony and Love, Inspiration, Spirituality, Nature and Fiction.
