Dire Threat is a four piece Metal/Experimental band from Namchi , South Sikkim. A place usually identified as a place of holistic and political importance. Their music can be defined as PURE,AGGRESSIVE,FAST and DRIVEN. One can call it an experience rather than just standing in the crowd and merely watching their performance. The band is a product of three broken bands. Roadie were formerly in Death Squad. Kappa and Thupee were in Psycotic Suicide and finally Shak came in the picture after he left his alternative rock band.Dire Threat was finally a complete group in the fall of 2013. The band did its debut gig at Sik Fest 2014 sharing the stage with bands like Flashflood and Demi Gods. there has been no looking back after that. The band has been conquering where ever they have played and continues to do so. Dire Threat recently headlined Kolkata Open Air promo gig and also walked out as winners of Sikkim Rock Idols 2014.
