Vijaykumar is a talented young vocalist of “KIRANA GHARANA”.
His mellifluous voice gifted with high range, natural phirat catches the imagination of the listener right from the first note. Under the able guidance of Pt.Kaivalyakumar Gurav, he is mastering the intricacies of “KIRANA GHARANA”. He has pursued Master Degree in Music from Dr.Gangubai Hangal Music University Mysore. Apart from Hindustani vocal he sings Marathi Natya Sangeet, Kannada Ranga Geet, Abhang, Dasarapada, Bhava Geet, Vachana with equal expertise.

*He received Dr. Mallikarju Mansur National Youth Award in 2013
*Won 1st prize in “Harballabh” Sangeet Samaroh, Jalandhar; Punjab in 2008
*He won 1st prize in the state as well as national level youth festival
held in Annamalai university, Tamilnadu. He was felicitated by the Governor of Tamilnadu on that occasion
*He won 1st prize in National level Natya Sangeet Competition held by All India Radio
