Winit Tikoo is a singer and songwriter currently based in Mumbai, who was born and brought up in Kashmir. A deep influence of the Sufi tradition of the region and earthy, Urdu-influenced poetry can be found in his music. This combined with modern musical influences such as blues-based rock, grunge and alternative, Winit Tikoo's sound has developed into a unique amalgamation of these musical expressions with Hindi / Urdu as the poetic vehicle.
