Footwings was casually formed in March 2012 by Maker Kashung, Senti Jamir, and Arenlong Longkumer in one of their chit chat moments. The name denotes 'strength' from God when human strength fails (Isaiah 40:3)
Due to non availability of members on a regular basis however, the band could perform only a couple of times in Shillong and eventually, the band went on a hiatus and could not regroup to continue.

In July, 2014, Footwings officially restarted in Delhi, by frontman and vocalist, Maker Kashung along with Guitarist Dika Rante from Tripura and Bassist Kenny Singha from Assam.

We are a motley set of musicians, and we like to experiment with different genres of music. We believe in good living based on good spiritual and ethical values.
The band’s music is an amalgamation of different genre influences of the individual band members.
