Tamal Kanti Halder started his career as a songwriter in 2003 with his 1st band Kalboishakhi, a Bengali Folk Rock Band which slowly transformed into AlienZ in 2007. AlienZ is a multi lingual Progressive Rock Band that became quite popular in West Bengal within a couple of years. While working as a keyboardist and songwriter of AlienZ, Tamal continued his career as a composer and music producer for a number of music albums like 'Ride on melody and rhythms' (a classical fusion album by Avra Banerjee), 'Swapno Ronger Meyta" (a modern Bengali album of Debdeep Mukherjee), 'Rabindranath Chhara' by Ananya Bhattacharya, 'Gaan Beye (a Rabindrasangeet album by Moumita Sen), HipHop project by Tanmay Sadhak Chakraborty and so on. He debuted in film music as music director in Mishti Chheler Dushtu Buddhi ,Rehab( a short docu-fiction by Souptik Chakraborty ) alongwith writing Scores for cinemas like GoleMale by Anindya Banerjee ,Chitra bt Abhigyan Charaborty etc.Tamal consistently played Keyboards for Silajit Majumdar Live for more than 3 years and he is now one of the occasional featuring artists of Silajit's Live and recording projects.
