New York Festivals Radio Awards: Red FM and RBNL bring 5 awards home

The New York Festivals Radio Awards, that honors radio content in all lengths and formats and across all platforms from radio stations, networks and independent producers from around the globe has announced this year winners. The Indian FM radio station “Red FM” and “RBNL” won metals for India.

Red FM won 3 bronze awards and 7 finalist certificates, making it highest awarded Indian Network at the desired platform.

RJ Praveen, whose visceral narration in ‘Ek Kahaani Aisi Bhi’ brought him the prestigious award at the New York Radio Festival for Best Innovation and Best Narration in 2015 & 2016, secured a bronze this year for his show “Headphones show with Praveen” under the ‘Best Innovative Show’ category.

Red FM’s jingle ‘Red FM Ka Naya Dhun Bajaate Raho’ won bronze in the Station ID category, while ‘National Jock Exchange Anthem-India Ka Ban Ke Dekh Ek Din’ bagged a bronze in the Station Promotional category.

Reliance Broadcast Network’s Big FM won bronze for ‘Benadryl Big Golden Voice Originals’ under the Best Sound Category. Big FM Tamil’s handwash campaign, which made it to the Asia Book of Records-‘Iru Kai Puratchi’, emerged as a Bronze Radio winner in the ‘Best Special Event’ category.
