Centre for Science and Environment’s (CSE) annual media conclave and Anil Agarwal Dialogue 2020 will be inaugurated on February 9, 2020 by Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan.
The conclave, which is bringing together journalists and environmental experts from all over India, will be held at CSE’s state-of-the-art residential environmental training facility, the Anil Agarwal Environment Training Institute (AAETI), in Nimli, Alwar district, Rajasthan.
The chief minister will release CSE and Down To Earth’s Annual State of India’s Environment Report 2020 on this occasion.
“ The aim of these conclaves is to bring together journalists and writers interested in covering environment and development issues, with some of the country’s top experts who have been studying these issues, on to a common platform to discuss and understand the year’s most significant developments and concerns”, said CSE Director General , Sunita Narain.
CSE has a long-established tradition of working closely with the media across India, spread over three days from February 9 to 11, the conclave will have seven key sessions on the following subjects – climate change, air pollution and sustainable mobility, renewable energy, food, solid waste management, and forests and wildlife. The inaugural, which will be steered by Narain, will be addressed by Gehlot and Raj Chengappa, Group Editorial Director of the India Today Group.
