A specific arrangement for exhibition and event mobile applications is made by “Apple” after its controversial guidelines for using AppStore was released. The controversy began when Apple introduced its guideline for better user experience which said that-- “Apps created from a commercialised template or app generation service will be rejected”. By many event professionals it was envisaged as a threat. This is because then they can’t use ready to use templates for App generation and have to solely depend on in-house app. Considering this issue, “Apple” specifically reformed its policy for the event industry. They have stated that event apps can also be built on a template base or “white label” app base. It is the first time that Apple is citing event industry in its review guidelines. This shows the growing awareness of the event app in the industry. The new guidelines states “Another acceptable option for template providers is to create a single binary to host all client content in an aggregated or “picker” model, for example- an event app with separate entries for each client event."
