Roshan Abbas has spent two decades gathering domain expertise in Radio, TV, Theatre, Events & BTL and entered Bollywood with his directorial debut under the banner of Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chillies Production in 2011.
Roshan was already a reputed TV and Radio anchor, when he entered the field of event management and BTL communication in 1999 with Encompass. Encompass’ winning habit percolates from Roshan himself, who has won over 7 radio and TV awards in his career. Roshan has served on the 2008-2009 Cannes Promo Lions Jury as well. He is also the founder of the EMDI Encompass Institute of Radio Management and often speaks at premier media institutes across India with a focus on the entertainment industry.
EEMA (Event and Entertainment Management Association) conducted a workshop in Mumbai on 15th March for the owners of the industry under Gyan Café – Master class initiative. The first session in this series was conducted by Roshan Abbas, Managing Director - Geometry Encompass on the topic "Creating a World Class Award Winning Agency” in the Geometry Encompass office.
Master class is an intimate conversation hosted by leaders of the industry for owners of EEMA member agencies to harness the entrepreneurial mindset and scale up their enterprise. The series was designed to provide access, to the enterprise mentorship by the masters of the experiential industry.
"The session was full of deep insights to make an agency truly world class like how to build a brand, define a culture, constantly learn, build alliances, financial smarts, positioning and proposition, team building and many more. The years of rich experience in building, running and selling an agency were captured in the session. All the participants went back with clear action points to implement in their respective organisations.” said Tabassum Modi, Vice President – EEMA West.
Commenting on the workshop, Roshan Abbas said, “Every agency aspires to be bigger and better.
