India’s No.1 Bicycle and Electric Vehicle Exhibition is back with its eighth edition. India International Cycle, Fitness and Outdoor Sports Expo (CFOSE) and Electric Vehicle Fair Ahmedabad 2018 has been organized by Annex Media Marketing Network Pvt. Ltd. during 01-02 September 2018 at Gujarat University Convention & Exhibition Center. The expo offers comprehensive market information, great business opportunities and a platform for networking.

Gurpreet Singh Malwa, organizer said, “This event is totally concerned with cycle, fitness and outdoor sports activity. About cycle, we are concerned with the starting age of 8 months to no age limit as an older person can also ride cycle today. Cycle industry is completely a bullish industry for the future. Every year, the population of India is increasing by 8 crores per year. Only 1.5 crore population i.e. youth and child is concerned with the cycle. The cycle was for transportation before 4-5 years, but nowadays it is a luxury tool. Now, cycle also comes in less weight than before.”

About e-vehicles, he said, “E-vehicles are the future. Due to air pollution and the shortage of fuel, increased rate of fuel, e-vehicles are good future of the industry. People are going to support e-vehicles and e-rickshaws are using for transportation. Even the big companies like Mahindra, Maruti also planning to launch e-cars in 2020. E-vehicle will be the future, and the industry will grow by hundred percent.”

Mr. Dinesh Goyal, Director, Shri Barsana E Vehicles Pvt Ltd (Bahubali e-rickshaw) said, “Bahubali e-rickshaw is one of the products of Shri Barsana E Vehicles Pvt Ltd. E-rickshaws are new in Gujarat. This is the first time; we came to Gujarat. As Gujarat is one of the fastest growing state in India, we thought that e-rickshaw or electric vehicle is also the fastest growing product here. So, we came here, and we are getting a good response. E-rickshaw is the new product, people are adopting it slowly, but with time-passing, people are going to adopt it very fast.”

Talking about difficulties in doing business, Mr. Goyal said, “We are into e-rickshaw business for last 7 years. Our sales are increasing. But there are some problems we are facing. E-rickshaws do not get 100 percent finance is the biggest factor that affects the business. Also, if RTO will support it in a good way then also, it will boost business. RTO does not have the right information about e-rickshaws. Three months back, the govt of India has removed badges for the e-rickshaw. There is no need for a commercial license for driving e-rickshaw. But still, local RTOs are asking for the badges and a commercial license. These types of hurdles are there in growing e-rickshaws industry in Gujarat. If these problems addressed, the e-rickshaws industry will grow.”

Yatin Gupte, Founder and CEO, Ward Wizard Solutions India Pvt Ltd said, “CFOSE is the good platform to explore B2B market. We will urge such agencies to come up with such a live market platform not only in Gujarat but across India. Our industry got the bright future in coming years. Today electric bicycle is a need. Bril India, India’s first balance bike’s manufacturer’s concept is ‘If a baby can walk, they can ride and they learn how to balance even in one and half years old it will increase their confidant level too.’

Mr. R.Sakthivel, Regional Sales Manager, Industrial Research Corporation, Bril India said, “We feel good that we are exhibiting here. We are getting a good response from visitors. Also, we are meeting distributors here. After exhibiting here, it will definitely increase our business.”

Also, a stall of MYBYK Bike Shared about their new scheme of the cycle on rent. They have different plans, on a monthly basis and on a daily basis. Also, the user does not have to worry about the maintenance. The company takes care of everything. The users have only to pay as they use. The company is based in Ahmedabad, and they have launched in Udaipur, Diu and Reliance Township at Jamnagar.

Personalities from event industry also should visit the expo as they will get an idea of how they can use e-vehicles at grand events. Nowadays, it is in trends to use e-vehicles in events to escort guests from the entrance to different event venues.

To provide a boost to passenger convenience and pollution free environment, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways gave guidelines for approval of E-rickshaw and E-cart, which will give the boost to the electric vehicle industry.
