Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC) programs of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India’s (FSSAI) was organized by the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI), recently. The two programs were organized at Mirasol Resort, Daman and Hotel Ambassador, Mumbai.
The programs were a part of the series of training programs. Around 70 participants from the hospitality industry were trained and certified in Supervisory Training in Advance Catering Program.
The president of HRAWI, Mr. Gurbaxish Singh Kohli said, “Such efforts by FSSAI to impart right trainings to make the staff more aware about the food safety and hygiene are helping our members and their businesses to elevate their own brand standards and contribute to higher customer satisfaction.”
Further he said, “The increase in the number of participation with every training program conducted by the association acknowledges the need to conduct more of such programs.”
HRAWI has conducted a total of 23 FoSTaC programs under which over 800 hospitality professionals have been trained and certified so far. The program is oneof the biggest initiatives by the FSSAI to raise awareness on food safety and improve the quality of food and beverages served at hotels and restaurants in the country.
