Big question remains - who will be the next President of EMF? Tainted or a New Face?

EMF completes formality of election process after 4 years. EMF (Event Management Federation) Gujarat based association has grown over its  4 years of existence inspite of being in controversies right from the beginning.

It has been in controversy due to non-inclusiveness, confrontation with Apex Event Industry body EEMA.

Almost two months back, EMF had organised a convention and Award Night in Dubai and was a grand success. Though murmurs were that the Sponsors were sidelined and it was just a show around its controversial President Mr. Jaydeep Metha. Apart from that entire industry applauded that guts with which such scale of the International level event was pulled off successfully by a Regional Association.

EMF Elections 2017 for Governing Council:

In accordance to the Election Programme, 14 Nomination Forms were received up till 06:00 PM 22/07/2017.  All the 14 Forms were found in accordance with the Election Rules and regulations and found one Nomination Form to be invalid, which was rejected. No request for withdrawal of Nomination Form was received till 24/07/2017 by the election officer.  

Election Officer Zakirhusen M. Belim in his communication to EMF members declared following final list of Candidates:

Mr. Dipesh R. Sheth

Mr. Rajesh Ravani

Mr. Keyur Patel

Mr. Vandan Dalal

Mr. Jaydeep Mehta

Mr. Meghal Shah.

Mr. Bharat Kudnalia

Mr. Khantil Mehta

Mr. Keyur Desai

Mr. Shailendra Mathur

Further, since the final list of Candidates declared above, is 15 or less, no voting will take place and the voting for the Election of the Governing Council for all the Candidates whose names are mentioned in the above final list was declared as elected on 29/07/2017. Except Mr. Vandan, all 14 names are repeat names from past Governing Council. 

Now the biggest question remains is, will Event companies of Gujarat make Mr. Jaydeep Metha (President) face of Gujarat Event Industry once again who was suspended in past by EEMA and recently accused of women harassment in Turkey and was permanently terminated as the member by Event Industry Apex Body EEMA? Or members will choose a new face? We will come to know just in few days.
