DeepVeer Go Green at their Reception with Eco-Friendly Cutlery

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are back in country after their private wedding at Lake Como, Italy. Their wedding pictures took internet by storm like never before.

The couple tied knot in two different style wedding - Konkani style and Sindhi rituals and customs.

The couple came back to India and hosted a reception in Bangalore. They choose to be environment-friendly at the reception by using eco-friendly cutlery.

The couple hosted their first reception for friends and family in Bangalore, and both of them looked dashing as ever in the royal attire. Deepika wore a gold kanjeevaram saree, gifted by her mother, with an elegant emerald neckpiece and Ranveer adorned an equally royal bandhgala sherwani by Rohit Bal. Deepika was styled by Sabyasachi. 

The reception was held at The Leela Palace and Hotel. The guests were served meals in biodegradable tableware at this eco-friendly reception. The couple has proved their love for nature through this lovely initiative.

They chose tableware products, made from sugarcane fiber and not the usual plastic and Styrofoam plates. The sugar products are known to decompose within 90 days as opposed to regular plastic that can take upto 500 years. CHUK, an eco-friendly brand is known to have sourced close to 75,000 pieces for the event.

The event was attended by notable personalities like PV Sindhu, Anil Kumble, Sudha Murthy, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Pooja Makhija and others.

Also, the couple has announced a 'no-gifts' policy for their Mumbai reception. Those interested can contribute to Deepika's NGO, The Live Love Laugh Foundation.
