Pandit Sujit Saha, who has excelled himself as one of the foremost Percussionist of India, was born into a reputed family of musicians.His father Late Gounranga Saha, a well-known vocalist, inspired his talented son to persue a career in the highest traditions of Hindustani Music. Thereafter, he blossomed into a mature and sensitive musician under the guidance of Sri Jugal Sarkar and Sri Amalesh Chatterjee. He studied the nuances of his art from maestros like the Late Ustad Keramutullah Khan and the late Pandit Jnan Prakash Ghosh. Today, Pt. Sujit Saha has earned himself a place of honour in the realm of Indian Classical Music and has been the proud recipient of a number of prestigious awards such as Gold Medal in the "Sangeet Praveen" (Master of Music) from the Prayag Sangeet Samity, Allahabad.
