Alaknanda Institute for Performing Arts (AIPA) was established in 1990 with the sole purpose of promoting pure classical art and culture to the society. Since then, Alaknanda Institute for Performing Arts has been successfully pursuing this vision for over two decades. The institute has earned the reputation of being a devoted professional academy and also for training disciples into scholarship holders in the field of kathak, hindustani vocal music, tabla, guitar, keyboard and fine arts.
The institute is affiliated to Akhil Bharatiaya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai and also prides in being the examination centre for the East Delhi zone. The performing arts section under the Gandharva degree include kathak, hindustani vocal music, tabla and keyboard. The fine arts department is affiliated to Bangiya Sangeeet Kala Kendra, Kolkata.
