She is the grand daughter of Kathak Legend Padmavibhushan Pandit. BirjuMaharaji. Ananya has the sheer passion and attained grooming in Indian Classical Music and Kathak Dance under training of the renowned kathak mastreo, her father Pandit Om Prakash Mishra. 

Ananya is truly devoted and dedicated towards her profession. In her milestone journey, Ananya is conferred with 3 prestigious national awards.

She rocked the stage of the famous music reality based show known as Indian Idol 4 aired on Sony Entertainment Television. She was favorite contestant of the renowned celebrities and Panel judges Javed Akhtar, Sonali Bendre, Anu malik and Kailash Kher. Her grandeur performances were appreciated by the jam packed auditorium. She had bagged the Top finalist position in the season.
