Born in Mumbai, Apurva started his singing career in his junior college where he was declared “Winner” on 15 August in an intercollegiate competition. 

Though Apurva’s heart and soul was in music, his family advised him to complete his studies. Apurva cleared B.com, M.B.A in flying colors. Apurva believes in versatility and this one word “Versatility” made him well versed in various styles of singing like: 

* Hindi film songs (Old and Latest numbers) 
* Semi classical songs 
* Bhajans and Jain Stavans 
* Ghazals 
* Gujarati folk,garbas and Sugam sangeet 

Apurva is awarded by pioneers of music like Asha Bhosaleji, Ustad Ghulam Ali, Classical singer Shobha Gurtuji, Music director Khaiyaamji, Music director Anu Malik, Music director Shravan of ‘Nadeem-Shravan’, Music director Rajesh Roshan, Bhajan singer Anup Jalota, Ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas, Manhar Udhas, Sadhna Sargam, Jaswinder Narula, Peenaz Masani and many more. 

Apurva’s morale was boosted when Manhar Udhasji,Asha Bhosaleji, Bappi Laheriji and Anu Malikji uttered the same statement “Apurva, you are going to be a playback singer, one day”.Apurva is presently learning music from Pandit Bhavdeep Jaipurwaleji 

The journey of "Saregamapa Challenge 2007" was the most memorable one,where he got an opportunity to learn music and voice culture from music directors Vishal-Shekharji.
