The band Axis was started by three friends coming together and amalgamating their own musical influences (classic rock, funk & blues) in the month of August 2010 in Guwahati Assam. Axis has received acclamations wherever the band has played.
The band initially started covering bands like Van Halen, Whitesnakes, Queen, Led Zepplin and Aerosmith. They eventually started composing originals with a unique sound, owing to the different musical influences of the members. With heavy inclination towards Western music the band also experiments with Bollywood songs, rendering a different listening experience altogether. At present, Axis is also experimenting with Assamese music and so far has been appreciated for rendering a very unique taste and sound.
