Born in a musical family in Goa, the Mediterranean of the East. Grew up with the influence of traditional Goan music along with popular Latin music & Indian classical music. Bondo today is Goa's versatile musician because of his effervescent performances. Bondo is one of the finest musicians but more so an internationally renowned percussionist. He is the one and only indo Latin percussionist in India.

His mother used to play the gumot (a traditional Goan instrument). His late father taught him at a very young age how to roll on the wooden box. As a youngster he used to collect empty tins and get different sounds from them. His father was his musical instructor and his initial performances were with his family band.
