The formation of Burnout Syndrome has a substantive story. It didn’t evoke from fickle college mates with eluding ideas from studies, class bunks, groundless hopes to become “cool” and “sexy” but the aspiration to live and love music, to breathe and consume music led five people of different demographic background come together from different spheres of the city to pursue the dream. The reason that made this possible for them was their interest in similar stuff and their common goal to make it big. The origin could be traced back to the time when the band's bassist Benjamin (Sayan Gupta) left his previous band and joined DC (Dipayan Chakraborty) and Prasun Roy on their project called "Creep 2 Knight". Just when they had began to feel positive vibes about the chemistry building up in their music they had to replace their vocalist due to professional differences. The three of them started up initially and went on searching for a 2nd guitarist and a vocalist. It was tough to find someone who would properly serve both the need of clean and unclean vocals. Luck was in their side when they finally found Sam ( Soumyajit Dasgupta) and Adi (Aditya Biswas), who had been doing music together on a duo-project called “ADI n SAM” for quite a time.
