Cobbled Street was formed on 11 May 2010 by the three singers of the group, who came together after meeting at Artistes Unlimited, New Delhi.
The idea was essentially to form an A capella group, however a consensus was reached to experiment with different kinds of sound without actually limiting ourselves to one particular genre.
Gathering influences from varied genres, essentially we believe we sound Jazz+Funk (Not Jazz, for those who ask where the Jazz in our music is!). Our music is the result of experimentation and our lyrics are derived from realistic experiences and social issues, among other things.
