About Lubdhak

Lubdhak is the brightest star in the night sky which is also known as Sirius. It is situated in the constellation Canis Majoris and can be seen from almost every inhabited region of the earth’s surface.
The heliacal rising of Lubdhak marked the annual flooding of the Nile as well as the summer solstice in the ancient Egypt and the “Dog Days”of summer in the ancient Greece, while to the Polynesians it marked winter and was an important star for navigation around the Pacific ocean. Many cultures around the world have historically attached special significance to Lubdhak and in all the cases it was a guiding entity for human civilization.
