Kargen’s eclectic style and versatility has kept him at the forefront of his
field throughout a notable and prolific career. His music,which is an organic fusion of dub, world and nu-beat, is in production, on the playlists and regularly being performed live and internationally. He has been stretching the boundaries of music since the start of his career.
From a very early age, Kargen cultivated his obsession with music by constantly searching for and experimenting with new forms of sounds and grooves. A classically trained Guitarist with a fascination for anything that could produce sound distortion, his musical foundations were set in electronic and reggae music. Kargen specializes in organic sound and the creation of musical atmospheres through the use of a vast array of mostly native and shamanic instruments,together with his own creations made from organic and recycled materials. Kargen has been active in the field of contemporary music since early 90’s working as a true musician specializing in tribal and Afro-Caribbean rhythms,ethno-ambient and world music. An artist who is constantly working to expand his knowledge of ethnomusicology and the curative powers of sound.
