The Band was formed in the year of 1998. First album named “KALPURUSH” was released  in the year  2003. A  singles called EAST BENGAL’ER GAAN “MACHHER RAJA EELISH” also released in this period. It was the first club song in West Bengal. In the year of  2004  another album named “Oo.. Lal.. La!”… was released.Then came “Ludo”  on 2006.Kalpurush had a dream to work on Rabindrasangeet which came true in the year of 2009. The project was named “ROBI ROCKZ”. It had a combination of rock and metal sounds. It created a new generation sound and was accepted by all age groups.Next is the latest album named "Kanta Taar"- the concept of unity & brotherhood in this year -2010 Kalpurush recieved Bangla Sangeet Cine Awards in the year 2004 & 2005 for the song “Ma dekha de....” & “Matha bhora taak ..” as  the most popular & highest selling  album in the year 2004.
