Luke Kenny started as an Actor / Live Performer / Dj / Host / Music Director & Producer. He started off as a DJ in the entertainment circuit in around 1995, when he became the first Indian male VJ on Channel [V]. 3 years later he went to become the head of Music Programming and Artist Relations for the channel. He continued to remain at that post until 2008. That was not all that he did with Channel [V]. His show 'Luke's After Hours' had a huge loyal viewership and high TRPs. It stayed on air for 3 years. A part of the music industry for over 17 years, starting out as a DJ before he became a VJ and subsequently an intrinsic part of the music scene.

Post the release of the cult film, Rock On!! Luke revisited his performance roots and has taken to performing with his band from time to time thereby extending himself as a singer/songwriter and performer for a new generation. Luke adapts as per the gig, whatever the show may be, his band reflects what best of Indian music scene has to offer. From professional musicians on the Indian independent band scene to even musicians that play with stalwarts like Shankar, Ehsaan & Loy, & Pritam he leaves no stone unturned in getting the best.

A writer, an actor, a director and a performer, he positions himself as an entertainer amongst it all. Luke also heads two musical projects under the name LUKE KENNY LIVE and LUKE KENNY & THE BOLLYROCKERS.
