After completing his Higher Secondary education at Ahmedabad, Shantanu Patel chose to do BA (Hons) Music from KM College of Music and Technology, Chennai, later doing B.Tech and then joining ISRO.
Under the guidance of his first guru, Dr. Adam Grieg and tutorship of Dr. A. R. Rahman, he completed his 3 years course receiving “The Best Performer of the Year” award.
Shantanu Patel is the pianist that is going to take Ahmedabad through a Journey of ages with his Piano @ Natarani Amphitheater, tonight.
This Journey through Ages would be met by some of the renowned classical works by Bach, Chopin, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Debussy and many more along with a premiere of Visita's new work for solo piano "Moments of Profundity".
Musician by passion and artist by heart, Shantanu regularly travel from state to state for his performances, but it is very inspiring when he says, “My first performance on stage was at the age of 4 for a charity concert at Blind Association of Ahmedabad. I was playing harmonium at that time.” He started learning piano at the age of 17 and Piano has been his favorite instrument ever after. “Ph.d in this field is what I wish to do next,” answers Shantanu when asked about his future plans to which we wish him good luck.
