These sounds are then played through an integral aluminum speaker. The device’s makers have likened Bitty’s “punch and crunchy” 12-bit sounds to those of retro MPC drum machines.
Diving into Bitty’s controls, you’ll find four sample trigger buttons and two knobs, labeled left and right. The left knob adjusts the time parameter, patterns, envelope and sample length, while the right handles pitch plus note selection and arpeggiation. This Bitty comes pre-loaded with the Midnight Bitty sound pack, which comprises synth sounds akin to the soundtrack from the film Drive, as the brand claims. The device is currently fundraising on Kickstarter, the device is slated for a 2020 release.
