Times Of India Group Continues To Lead The Comscore Ranking Of Digital News Publishers

Comscore, an American media measurement and analytics company released its ranking of digital news publishers for the month of September. The digital sites of the Times of India group continue to dominate the list. The country’s largest media house site lead with a total of 254 million unique visitors, (multi-platform-digital and mobile).

The second place was secured by Network18 Media & Investments Limited, informally referred to as the Network18 Group, which closely follows the Times of India group with 183.5 million unique visitors. With 144 million unique visitors, Living Media India Limited doing business as India Today Group secured the third position.

The Indian Express Group is at number four with 120 million unique visitors, followed by NDTV (New Delhi Television Limited) site with 95 million unique visitors and HT Media group(Hindustan Times ) sites with 95 million unique visitors.

The Jagran group is at number seven with 76 million unique visitors. The OneIndia.com, an Indian online portal owned by Greynium Information Technologies Pvt Ltd. sites are at the eighth position with 72 million and ZeeNews Group, the flagship property of Zee Media, and a subsidiary of Essel Group is at ninth position with 54 million unique visitors. Amar Ujala group is at the 10th spot with 41 million unique visitors.

In the overall digital ecosystem, social media giants Google and Facebook dominate with 284 million and 270 million unique visitors, respectively. According to Comscore, the digital news publishing industry saw an increase of 1% in the overall number.
