2019 has been such a great year, we can’t wait for 2020 to get on already! We had a fun chat with a few event fraternity members and here’s what they had to say about the previous year and their preparations for the coming year!

Noor Khan, Anchor

1) As a professional how do you see your future for 2020?

         Ans. Well, Allah knows well about the future and humans can only can guess. So I will just work hard and harder and with the blessing of all the event industry I will achieve my goals and grow day by day.

   2) Which do you think were your Top 5 events in 2019?

          Ans. IHFF 2019

   3) Which is that one event you dream of anchoring?

Ans.  I dream of hosting all the big and major events ofcourse with good money.

But especially like others I would love to host iifa and also eemax global awards, obviously if it's in my destiny to do so.

 Rahul Dubey, Event Manager

   1) Are you planning to launch any new initiatives or ventures in 2020?

Yes I am planning to start a wedding planning firm in 2020 which will have a complete solution to all the wedding related requirements as currently I already own companies which tackle and manage the corporates, social and private event sectors too. Weddings are such kind of events where emotions play an important role for the family including the hospitality for all the invitees and many other services which we can take care of.

2) An event you dream of managing?

I am planning to have a destination wedding for 800 people to USA & back with a multiple line up of events - where each and every invitee who will be a part of the wedding will be engaged and enthralled in processes, where moments and memories will be created so, that they can rewind and rejuvenate their once in a lifetime experience with us.

3) Which was your most successful event in 2019?

As there were many events which where highly successful amongst those one of the most successful events was one of the weddings which was organised on 1st June, 2019 at silvasaa for a 500 pax which has all the elements in it - since the branding to logistics, pampering of guest to welcome of baraat and cocktail night - after party followed by pool party and many more elements.

DJMehul, Artist

1) Where will we see you perform next?

 Well last year I performed at the vivacious Taj Mahal Palace in Colaba, Mumbai for the New Year’s Eve event held on 31st December night.  I'm really looking forward to play at a similar kind of place this year as well. 

2) Which was your most memorable event of 2019?

I played at many gigs this year but the most memorable one was the last New Year party at Taj Mahal Palace as I mentioned before.

3) Which is that one event you dream of playing at?

Well this might sound familiar but, I  too like my peers would love to get an opportunity to play at any of the international music festivals such as Sunburn or The VH1 Music Festival.

Kamal Mahrshi, Anchor

1)What is your area of focus for work in 2020?

My main focus for 2020 is going to be on Wedding events and Awards as they allow to be more creative,  are entertaining and are fun to do. But at the same time I won't shy away from corporate gatherings too as that qualifies an Anchor to be an all-rounder.

2) Which event do you dream of anchoring?

An event I dream of anchoring is any Film Award Night, as a writer I have written scripts for Film star Anchors for various shows but someday would love to deliver my own lines at the event.

3) Which were the 5 best outfits you wore while anchoring at events in 2019?

 1) Which event trend you think will bloom in 2020?

I think the trend of having celebrities over at events is evergreen and it will go on to be the hot factor for 2020 events. So, I think 2020 is going to be all about celebrity appearances at events and celebrity events as a whole.

   2)  Your most successful event in 2019?

According to me the most successful event by Grasshopper Events was the’ Devendra Fadnavis Rally 2019, Jan Dhan Yatra’. It truly made my year spectacular and memorable as well.

  3) Which is that event you dream of managing?

Like how everyone wants to be a part, a name behind something big and glamorous. I really dream of managing the prestigious bollywood event, Filmfare Awards. I can’t wait for that opportunity to knock at my doorstep. I will surely be a dream come true.
