2019 was the 11th year for the Hotelier India Awards that recognise and reward the achievements of the country's best talent in the hospitality industry. These Awards acknowledged the efforts of hospitality professionals from different departments – across brands, across hotel categories and across regions – who worked unstintingly to contribute to their property’s success.
The event was presented by RAK porcelain, powered by Bluestar and AHI with Official State Partner, Odisha; category partners-Ecolab, Kimirica Hunter, Komin, Fresh-up Mattress; beverage partner-VBev; networking partners- Lucaris, Marm 360; hospitality partner- Taj Palace, New Delhi and magazine partner-Hotelier India.
The jury consisted of veteran hoteliers namely- Anshu Sarin, Berggruen Hotels; Ajay Bakaya, Sarovar Hotels and Resorts; Dilip Puri, Indian School Of Hospitality; Jaideep Dang, JLL Hotel & Hospitality group; Jean Micheal Casse, Accor Hotels amongst other elites.
Hotels and hoteliers were awarded for over 20 diverse categories for their excellent services and quality work in the name of the hotel industry.Nakul Anand of ITC Limited was awarded with the lifetime achievement award 2019 and the prestigious hall of fame award was bagged by Sanjay Sethi of Chalet hotels amongst the other winners of other categories that were further divided into three sub divisions on economic basis. The award night was graced by Padma Shri Odissi exponent Aruna Mohanty and the artistes of Orissa Dance Academy.
