Poetry lovers, mark your calendar for Banyan Tree’s 10th edition of the Khusrau-Kabir being held on August 03, 2018 at Nehru Centre Auditorium in Mumbai.
The festival will highlight and celebrate the works of two great genius poets of India, Hazrat Amir Khusrau and Saint Kabir to enthral the music lovers of the city.
To say that, through centuries, our country is blessed by the presence of many poet saints, amongst the most admired, respected and renowned are these two poets who hail from north India.
They have continued to guide music and poetry aficionados even today, and their work is often presented in a traditional format.
"In our contemporary segment we present young, bright and talented artists who interpret the works of Hazrat Amir Khusrau and Sant Kabir”, says Nandini Mahesh, Director, Banyan Tree.
She further adds,
We are trying to showcase how the works of these two great poets are relevant even to the listeners and performers of the 21st century."
