Words by Nirmal Sidhu himself : I was born in village Tehna, District Faridcot and I also grew up there. I belong to a middle class Jatt family with strict up bringing. I used to live near Gurdwara and I got inspired by listening to Kirtan/Gurbani. Since childhood I was interested in music. At the age of 12 Master Naginder Singh Chahal inspired me to learn more music and educate myself. Finally I finished Masters in Music. In 1987, my first song was broadcasted on Doordarshan, Jallandhar. That song enabled me to establish myself in the field off commercial music. Then onward most of my music was in the capacity of music director for various singers. In 2000, Lux Zee C Cine Award asked me to perform
