I have been trained in Indian Classical Music from the age of five under the guidance of Shreemati Bharati Bhattacharya in Gwalior Gharana and various Bengali Raag Pradhanas. Later at the age of sixteen I joined as a Scholar at ITC SANGEET RESEARCH ACADEMY and became a disciple of Padma Bhusan Dr Girija Debi who trained her in various forms of Indian Classical Music including Thumri, Dadra, Tappa, Kajri, Chaiti, Holi, Jhula. etc in Benaras Gharana from the year 2000 to 2007. In the year 2007 I stood First Class 1st while doing her Masters in Vocal Music from Rabindra Bharati University where I was guided by Pandit Alok Chatterjee. Since 2007 I am continuing my TALIM under Pt. Amiya Ranjan Bandhapadhyay in Bishnupur Gharana. I have won National Scholarship in Hindustani Classical Music from The Government of India during the period 2004 – 2006 and Second Prize in Thumri from All India Radio, Kolkata in the year 2003. I have also won Pandit Ravi Kichlu Foundation Award and The Dover Lane Talent Search Award in 2002 and 2003 respectively.
