Smita started her musical journey 15 years ago when she participated in a Television reality show. She later went on to become the first and the only pop artist born and brought up in Andhra Pradesh to create a mark in the national pop scene. She saw many blockbuster hits during this journey as a pop artist and a playback singer. She released 6 albums each in Hindi and Telugu, two in Tamil and worked with leading names in the Indian music industry. She has also been associated with top music labels of the country. With over 200 live performances worldwide, she was recognised as an electrifying performer on stage. As a playback singer she not only rendered many hit songs but also won a Filmfare award for her song in Telugu film- Anukokunda Oka Roju.
