COLOSSAL CORP BAND PROFILE,Colossal Corp. was formed in sept.2010, with a jest to dish out real acoustic music to the people, and by the people. It initiated with acoustic guitars and powerful vocals in their sleeves, and now has joined by a promising bass player. Since late 2012 we have started with full force .By God's grace we released our much awaited single "The Adventure of Mike O’Bryan which is critically well received as we tried a never before genre of Rockgrass!We play hard rock, soft rock, progressive rock, glam rock, rock grassOur journey started from the winter of Sept 2010 along with the mushrooming of music cafes where we entered the scene as an acoustic band. Our band got its due recognition when we got the chance to open for the legendary Shillong great Mr. Lou Majaw at peace rock ,Basement Jaxx,Guwahati. But it was only from January 2013 we have been a full force band with a complete setup. Our notable concerts were at Metropolis 2013, Rnbclub“On the Rocks”, Guwahati Beerfest 1st edition, DY365 Christmas live!,Peacejam 2013, GMCH Medifest 2014, Esplendidez 2014,Summer Fest 2014,World music day, Tera Mayaa.And we have covered all the major music clubs across the city.Our lead vocalist Farhad and our unique style of song interpretation with progressive guitar riffs and plucking has been a benchmark for our recognition and a certain critical fan following. Farhad came 1st runners up for the western vocals category at the All Assam Intercollege Youth festival held last year at Gauhati University and recently he came 2nd runners up in the Karaoke World Championship 2013 held at Mumbai. His powerful voice and style has made him informally one of the best rock vocalists in Assam.In June 2013 we release our first single “the adventure of Mike O Bryan “ which has been critically well received and has been featured on the Art of Rock episode 2 and recently on TNT Project Assam version 1.0.Recently we released our 2nd OC “My nights are sleeping” with overwhelming response.
