Sonam Kapoor was born in the Mumbai suburb of Chembur on 9 June 1985. Sonam Kapoor is the eldest daughter of one of the most well known actors in Bollywood, Anil Kapoor. She made her debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya in November of 2007. Even though the movie didn't do well at the box office, Sonam's acting was much appreciated. Her second movie, Delhi 6 with Abhishek Bachchan earned her much critical and audience acclaim. She had her first hit with her third release, I Hate Luv Storys also starring Imran Khan while her home production, Aisha, took her career to a new height! She got much critical acclaim for her two movies in 2013: Raanjhanaa and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Kapoor's first release in 2010 was Punit Malhotra's romantic comedy I Hate Luv Storys, opposite Imran Khan.
