Tangents is a 5 piece Ambient Progressive Metal act based in Bangalore, formed sometime in the month of May 2014.
The soundscape that the band creates is a mix of minimalistic groove oriented bass lines, polyrhythmic odd time drumming grooves, a whole lot of ghost notes, and melodic yet technical and heavy guitar riffs, coupled with soulful ambient guitars on the other end. Combine this with strong and heavy vocals, and what you hear is the unique sound that is Tangents.
The band looks to be one of the frontrunners of the progressive metal scene in the country in the coming years.
