Vijay is one of his kind, multi-instrumentalist and multi-genre performer/composer who specialises in Carnatic Classical Music (South Indian Classical Music). He belongs to the great Dwaram tradition of violin playing having learnt from great masters and scholars such as N.Ch. Krishnamacharyulu of Vijayawada and Late Dwaram VenkataSatyanarayana (eldest son of the legend Dr. Dwaram Venkataswamy Naidu) and his sister Dwaram Mangathayaru.
Vijay started the basic lessons on the Flutefrom K. R. Ganapathi, a senior flautist from Madras and later continued learning advanced compositions from T.S.Sankaran, a senior disciple of Flute Maestro, T.R.Mahalingam. Later he practised and developed an uniquely beautiful style marked by superb blowing and fingering techniques. His performances are known for the blend of heavy classicism and brilliant creativity that are the delight of both the pundits and the laymen alike.
Vijay learnt the very basics of Gotuvadyam (Vichitra Veena) from Allam Koteswararao and practsied on his own and created a unique style marked for its originality and tonal quality winning accolades from music pundits and laymen for his rich expositions of the classical music with exceptionaly innovative style.
