XontraX is a Symphonic black metal formed by the interest of the drummer parcha jyoti and sumon saikia(Guitarist at JA). They were in search of a bassist,vocalist,guitarist.When they finally met their school friends baba(keyboardist),Manash(bass),aman(guitar2), Ashish(vocalist). And thinking of a unique assamese name parcha finally came out with the name XONTRAX. We didnt started jamming at that time and sumon came up with a problem that he cannot play with us as he entered into a band Judas ancestry and leaving us helpless. We again searched for a guitarist and finally got Rajkumar daimari. We started jamming and did our first show in which we were selected for the finals at Synchisis 2012. We performed for the finals. Though we didnt win but Baba was awarded as best keyboardist. And finally we were moving on. Manash(bassist) didnt had much interest in jamming so we kept him out of the band and started searching for a bassist. And finally we got Chau mang seng chowpu as our bassist. And now the band is sailing smoothly with the release of our debut single Black clouds of catastrophe and the single black day to be released soon
